FIRST EVER, HOSPITAL POSTING.

Super lack of updates, i know. Haha. Anyways, was really really busy with stuffs lately. Here are my recent updates .

Just went through the very first White Coat Ceremony held by School of Medicine this afternoon. Gotta say thanks to the Community Medicine family whom made this happened. Am really glad that our batch was the first to go through this historical event, and it was supposed to be a tradition for all medical students to go through before stepping into the hospitals and to approach patients. Few speeches on dress code and code of conducts in hospitals were delivered by the deputy deans for clinical and pre-clinical studies. The ceremony then proceeds on to putting on the white coat on ourselves, which signifies the must to adhere to the professional behaviour whenever and wherever the white coat is worn at hospitals. The Hippocratic Oath is then read with Prof. Dinker Pai. Ceremony ceases with the briefing on the upcoming primary care interface programmes by Dr. KKN which will be starting next week. Kind of like a historical moment for all of us there, who chooses medicine to be our lifelong career. Hopefully everything will go on well for the years to come. Time really do flies and here comes our first hospital postings which will be starting next week already! Am gonna be busy with preparation for the upcoming final examinations and the last continuous accessment. Year one has finally drawn to it's end, such a tiring and stressful year i'd say. But it's all worth it. Since it is my dream and passion to become a healer. ;)

That is, eat sleep shit study lectures and the agenda repeats daily.

Time to catch up abit, they've finished their first year and yet we're still here struggling over for the finals. Oh, life. Have got used to this kinda lifestyle in sungai petani. TATA.

Malaysia's political scene is such a joke. Before this it was Pak Lah and Anwar, now here comes the new Ahmad. Oh well, Sept 16 is coming. Let's just sit back, grab some popcorns and see who survives. It's gonna be real interesting, i think.

Nyways guys, am heading back to Sungai Petani soon. Check out my blog for my latest updates alright. Cheers! ;)

Never wanna hear you rant when you're back to M'sia next year alright. Trust me la, the girls are the one who's gonna regret for not choosing you. But still, please don't get too desperate. Let the sequence flow by itself else you're gonna end up haywiring. Take care and do keep me updated from time to time as well. Would like to visit Sheffield if i've the time in the future, make sure you get familliar with that place before i come dude. Let's go clubbing! Haha.

And lastly, Kathryn. Haven't been seeing you for the past 2 years since graduating. Recalling how good we are during high school, kinda regretted for not keeping in touch with ya. Wishing you good luck and i shall see you again when you're back for your summer break next year. Cheers.

OMG, 5 FREGGIN MONTHS!

Photobucket

OMG, did not realised that it has been a freaking 5 months since i last posted! My blog is almost dead as i can feel and see. Am really really sorry to those who keeps on checking out my blog from time to time hoping for an update, tho they know the chances are slim. Sorry to have disappoint you guys, really. Reasons for being not updating is cause of the excessive amount of studies and exams i have to go through all these while. (Also to add on, the super lousy connection in my campus) That is why, i guess people say Medicine is crazy. It is indeed crazy. Have gone through 3 exams and 2 more coming up soon, one more continuous accessment and the final Professional Exam I that will determine if i could proceed on to year 2! Oh god, i've gotta buck up. Studies studies studies. Will still keep this blog active anyways, at least to release my rants about my life as a medical student. How i keep my "happening" life going etc. Time flies, first year is about to come to it's end. Many things have happened throughout the year of my life in uni. I guess i'm in the right field, totally no regrets, at least for now. Life has been good to me, to those who cares about me and my life. I'm really sorry again, will keep you guys updated from time to time alright. Am currently back to Petaling Jaya for a short one week hols, to those who are interested to meet up, just leave me a message or sms if you have my contact! Take care there! Will be updating soon again, omg so many stuffs to update! Stay tuned.

BACK TO JAPAN.

Alright guys, seems like i haven't been keeping my promises lately. Am sooo sorry again! Well, i'm back with more for "now". Haha. My holidays will now be officially ending in a few minutes time. Life is good currently. Just got my car to bring me around few days ago, gotta thank my parents for this really! Was kinda shocked actually. No worries mommy and daddy, i'll be studying real hard this time. Hopefully i'll be able to pass my 1st year with flying colours! Haha. Sounds impossible, but i'll try. ;)

Photobucket
Can you spot the Fuji? Haha.

Anywaysss, back to my long time abandoned post on Japaann. Darn it, i'm missing Japan. Haha. Alright, sooo we were on the way to Mount Fuji. Next stop on the way there, we dropped by at Lake Kawaguchiko. One of the famous 5 lakes which surrounds the world famous Mount Fuji. Nice view but lunch do not really came up to our expectation. Or probably we're just not used to the japanese food.

Photobucket
Lake Kawaguchiko.

Photobucket
Some artistic shot i planned to do, but failed miserably. Hahaa. Nice old fashioned cam though.

Photobucket
View of the famous lake.

Photobucket
Another view. Don't you just like the snow?

Photobucket
Had lunch at this restaurant facing the lake, great view i'd say. Haha.

Photobucket
Forcefully smiled with my pathetic set of lunch. XD

Everyone was hoping it to snow on that day, but the tour guide insisted that snowing is a bad sign for tour groups as most of the expressways will be closed due to slipery roads and thus affecting the whole agenda. Stilll, as a jakun from Malaysia who has not seen snowing since birth, it's his dream to at least see it once in his life. It's me the jakun by the way. An guess whatt? Right after the lunch when we stepped out the restaurant, the sky started to turn cloudy andddd, foam-like pieces of whitish stuffs started to fell down from the sky! Darn it, i know i am lucky cos it's snowing! I shall now proudly say that this is one of the moment i wouldn't forget for the rest of my life. The experience of looking upon the snow dropping down onto your shoulder is seriously priceless.

Photobucket
Hey look, it's snowing!

Photobucket
The negative consequences of snowing. =(

Proceed our next destination after lunch, to the Fujiten Ski Resort. It took us up to 2 hours to reach that place compared with the normal 45 minutes. As i've said previously, the consequences of snowing. Hahaaa. It's worth it though.

Photobucket
Snow resort, cool.

Photobucket
Wanna go skiing?

Did not really tried out skiing on that day cos it was really crowded and the snow was really heavy. Pluss i do not even know how to stand on my own feet after falling down. Sad case man. Anyways, it was a good experience even to see people skiing around you. Hahaa.

Photobucket
Snowboard.

Managed to captured a few shots of the Japanese kids when i was wandering around the area. Kinda like their cute expression. Do i sound lifeless, to take pictures instead of skiing in the snow resort? Hahaaa.

Photobucket
Cute little kiddie couple. They seriously kissed in front of both deir parents. I was shocked. O.o

Photobucket
Don't you just feeling squeezing her? Haha.

We started our journey back to hotel for dinner at around 6 later on. Another unique experience as well. Find it out on my next post alright guys? Till thenn, have a nice day. And best of luck for my studies again. T.T Life sucks. Hahaa. Ciowz.

YOKOSO JAPAN - PT 2

Notice : Picture sizes from current (starting this post) and upcoming post will be slightly rescaled down to 600x400 from the previous 640x624 pixel. Reason is partly due my hostel's slow internet speed and upon receiving many complaints from readers saying that the pictures takes too long to get uploaded. Hopefully this will help a bit. =)

Photobucket
NRT Terminal 2 arrival hall. Look at the crowds!

Moving on from the precious Japan post, our flight departed at 11am sharp Malaysian time. FYI whole journey from KUL to Narita, Japan takes around 7 hours. Our plane landed safely at the Narita International Airport Terminal 2 at 5.30pm Japanese time (1 hour ahead of Malaysian time). Well, the flight wasn't really that enjoyable. Imagine sitting on de same place for a freaking 7 hours while watching lame movies like SumoLah! Sigh. Anyways, the feeling when u first seen the city of Japan from the plane before u land on their airport was fantastic. I mean like, it's so much more organized and lively compared to cities in Malaysia at night. Haha.

Photobucket
On our way to the bus. Temperature was 6 degree celcius.

Can't comment much on that since Japan is already a developed country while Malaysia is still "developing". Haha. Alright, back to the airport was seriously crowded. It seems that for every single minute, there will be either a flight departure or arrival. Narita has been rated as one of the busiest airport in the world. Probably this is the reason why we've gotta queue up sooo long just to go through the immigration.

Photobucket
Narita Excel Tokyu Hotel.

After passing through all the photoshoots and fingers reading (Japan is super strict in terms of immigration), we met up with our tour guide of the trip and proceed to Excel Tokyu Hotel for check in. Simple hotel for us to spend our first night on the land of the rising sun. Weather was pretty cold at only 5 degree celsius.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Admire the Japanese's honesty. Spotted this in a garden.

Woke up at 6 in the morning next day, had breakfast and there we go. Started our journey to our first ever destination in Japan, the Hakone-Izu National Park, where the famous Mt Fuji lies. Journey from Narita to Hakone takes another 2 hours and along the highway, i pretty managed to capture down few sights that never failed to make me go "woahhh!".

Photobucket
Goodbye Narita.

Photobucket
Cool bikerider. My first ever panning shot.

Photobucket
Tomei Expressway toll.

On the way, the bus stopped by at the rest area before proceeding to the Mt Fuji area.

Photobucket
Rest area.

Photobucket
They've got deep fried food vending machine! Cool.

Photobucket
Haagen Dazz spotted.

Photobucket
The weather out there is freaking cold, probably cause we're already reaching the destination.

Photobucket
Random shot. A petrol station at the rest area.

Photobucket
Welcome to the home of Mount Fuji. Almost there. =)

Guess that's all for this update. More to come up soon, so stay tuned. Gotta get back and rush on my studies again. Sigh. In the meantime, happy Good Friday folks! Enjoy. =)

TRAPPED IN AIMST.

Photobucket

I'm backkkk, well at least for a while. =) Darn, i can't even believe the fact that i've abandoned my blog for the past 3 weeeks! Never in my history i haven't got any time to update for this long. Am soooo sorryy guys! Really. Well, i'll be temporary holding on to the Japan post and talk abit about my life over here. At least to update some of my friends back at home or those who're studying abroad.

Photobucket
Overlooking the scene from my room.

Lifeeee, is realllly hectic now. Have been busy with lectures, studies and some events over here. FYI i've just completed my task for being the emcees for the AIMST CNY Cultural Night not too long ago, and currently am busy-ing completing stuffs for the upcoming AIMST Vice Chancellor's Public Speaking Challenge Trophy organized by my entire batch, Batch 13. So guys, if you're from AIMST University, do drop by at our newly launched official blogsite and leave at least a word or two: http://www.aimstvccup.blogspot.com/ . Glad to have all your supports here.

Photobucket
The feeling of being trapped here at AIMST seriously suck. Hopefully i'll get a car here sooonnn. Sigh.

As for my studiess, one word says it all. KILLING. I'm serious about it, Biochemistry especially. The lecturers are good, it's just that there are too much to cover in such short period of time. Personally, i think metabolism is the killer for now. Well, i kind of admire Dr Ong for being able to finished his phD in Biochemistry! Tsk tsk tsk, i can't even manage one small part of it for now. Sigh.

Photobucket
The killer.

Photobucket
Study study study.

Photobucket
Histology is pretty interesting. A picture of the epithelial tissues. Lookin great eih?

Photobucket

Now i know, why people say medicine kills. And oh, my 1st CA(Continuous Accessment) is coming in less than 3 weeks time. Gotta buck up on my studies again. >.< Sigh. As for my blog updates, it'll be latest by end of this week i promise. Back to Japan! Keep visiting from time to time and have fun out there yo! Good day. =)

BUSYYYYYYY | YOKOSO JAPAN! - PT 1

Andd finnnaaaalllly, Shaun is back to the blogosphere after being lost to nowhere for 2 weeks! Man, it's not that i don't want to, was really really busy after i got back from Japan a week ago and am currently back at uni. Life has been kind of hectic since then, busy with my daily routine of studying and memorizing facts. Trust me, it kills. However, the course is pretty interesting till now, at least i haven't been falling asleep in class! That should be something amazing, right? Haha. (P/S: Take medic la, take medic! :P)

---

Okayyy, back to my Japan trip, it was truly a great one. Having to experience snowing for the first time in my life, walking in the streets full of Japanese chiqas, load myself with unlimited supply of King Crabs and Sashimis etc. I must say that Japan is a place that totally rocked my off. Osaka or Hokkaido will be my next destination if i have the ability to fund the trip myself! As usual, can't describe much with words, will let all the pictures do the talking. Nope, we're not going to Japan YET, not today. We're on the way! Hehe. Enjoy. =))

Photobucket

KLIA! My first stop to Japann. I can tell you that the feeling before boarding a flight to The Land of Rising Sun is like you're about to get an orgasm real soon. Darn it, haha. Japan really did not dissapoint me.

Photobucket

No money to book myself a Business Class, hence the usual Economy Class. T.T Wonder when do i get the chance of flying on a First/Business Class.

Photobucket

Check in counter. Met up with our tour leader, checked in, proceed to the immigration check ine counter, board the aerotrain to get our arses to the other site of the airport for International boarding and there we go, a step nearer to Tokyo!

Photobucket

Passport Malaysia, i wonder why red? Any significance? O.o

Photobucket

After going through all de custom check and everything, at lastt, i got my first glance of the plane that will be flying me across the ocean to Japan! I always thought that Malaysian Airlines a good choice for any form of flights. They've got a 5-Star cabin staffs rating guyss! Support the local!

Photobucket

That's me before boarding. How could this post be complete without my personal picture eh? Hahaa. It's my blog wert. Anyhow, looked kind of fat in this pic. But who cares laaa, we're going to Japaannn! XD

Photobucket

It's boarding timeeee, can't wait can't wait. We're now 7 hours away!

Photobucket

The planee with the internal flight entertainment system. Nothing muchh, i'd rather them to have a bed than this. Haha. Any MAS staffs will be reading this?

Photobucket

I only remembered that the captain pilot for my flight's an indian. There we go, up up and awayyy! Stay tuned for the next update! Moree of Japan coming up soon. Not really sure will it be soon but definitely i'll try my best to, if i've had the time, i surely will. Till then guys, have fun! And hopefully to me, i'll have the neurons in the brain kept on growing so that i could fit more stuffs into it. Byeeeeee!

Photobucket

Yo guys! Sorry for the late update again, just got back from Genting on Sunday. Had a great stay there at First World, i'd say that i seriously like their weather over there. Well, at least it is much better than our overpopulated and polluted city of Kuala Lumpur. Anyways, didn't take much picture this time as i was truly enjoying the whole trip. These are the few shots that i find it unique. Mostly composed diagonally. Enjoy!
